James C. Kernochan, age 87, formerly of Sunnyside, died Friday, February 3, 2017. Mr. Kernochan was born June 5, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY. He is a Korean War Veteran. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor. Loving father of James (Jui), Charlie (Karen), John, Kenny, Wayne, Linda, Susan (Kevin) and the late Michael. Cherished grandfather of Felipe, Aidan, Brandon and Max. Visitation will be Monday, February 6 from 2-5PM and 7-9PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. A graveside service will be held with Military Honors at 11:30 am on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery, 1629 Bushwick Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.
