Obituary of Lloyd Canning

Lloyd Michael Canning, 52, of New York and Ireland, passed away on the 1st of December 2024. Lloyd was born in Limerick City, Ireland to Finnuala & Michael Canning on 1st of December 1972. He attended secondary school in Miltown-Malbay, County Clare. He then went on to earn a degree in Business from the University of Limerick, before moving to New York City. Lloyd loved music, enjoyed crosswords, and trivia, as well as all kinds of sports—but loyal to West Ham United and the Mets! In 2003, he built a popular bar/lounge, followed by a café in 2005, both of which became cherished gathering places in the community. Above all, Lloyd adored his two sons and wished for them to lead successful and meaningful lives. He will be fondly remembered by his family, friends, and extended family in Ireland, the USA, and around the world. He is survived by his two sons Mikah and Ezra, his wife Kafia Saxe, sister and brother Tara and Ross Canning, niece and nephew Luke and Millie. A private memorial service will be held at Edward D. Lynch's Funeral Home of Queens NY, on 10th of December at 12.30pm (ET), 17.30 (GMT) with Allen B. Saxe officiating. Rest in Peace Lloyd
