Obituary of Catherine Lyba

Catherine Lyba 93, passed away on Saturday April 20th 2024 peacefully in her home in Woodside, Ny. She was born in Ukraine on February 1, 1931. Her and her family moved to Brooklyn New York in 1936, they later moved to Woodside NY in 1958. Catherine was a very strong woman with a very lively sense of humor. She is now in heaven with her daughter Linda Lyba and her son Michael Lyba. She is survived by her grand daughter Nicole Lyba. Visitation will be Thursday, April 25 from 3-8pm at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY with a Prayer Service with Fr. Pananyda at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Annunciation of The Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 48-26 171St Street, Fresh Meadows, NY. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Middle Village on Friday, April 26 at 11:30am.
