Obituary of Brian Patrick Bannon

Brian Patrick Bannon died December 17, 2021. He was born February 25, 1972 in London, England. His hometown was Ballyshannon, County Donegal, Ireland. His adopted home was NYC. Please check back for a full obituary, one worthy of Brian. It's no easy task. He was a legend of a man and a force of nature. Visitation will be Thursday, December 23 from 5-8PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Prayer Service will be held at 7PM. As per the family's request and the NYC mandate, everybody coming to the wake service are required to wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in memory of Brian to be sent to Irish Musicians, Poets & Artists of Queens Inc. (IMPAQ.US), a not-for-profit organization that Brian founded. We are now honored to continue his mission of furthering the performance & education of Irish arts & culture in Queens by showcasing local musicians, endeavoring to pay them as artists rightfully deserve, and connecting them to audiences by organizing free concerts, events, and festivals. Brian's passion for this cause was on full display this past September 2021 when he hosted the first ever Sunnyside Trad Week, a week-long celebration of Irish music & dancing.
