I worked with Maureen at Lord & Taylor from 1991-1995. I am so happy that we stayed in touch, having the occasional lunch or tea and via Facebook. She was simply one of my absolute favorite people at Lord & Taylor. Her quick wit, impeccable timing with a joke and regaling me with tales of County Tyrone ! She encouraged me to visit the Dingle Peninsula and It was as beautiful as she described. She had an amazing impact on so many of us at Lord & Taylor, thank you for sharing Maureen with us.

Deepest sympathy to you Martin, to nieces and nephews and extended families. We are so saddened of your loss, and Maureen a loss to us to as she was a very loyal and true friend to my mother Josephine Leavy down through the years. They lived together in their youth and were bridesmaids for one another.. They shared many the good story on their youth. We visited Newyork 2014 and 2016 and Maureen was our tour guide and treated us so well. We have fond memories of Maureen never to be forgotten and we will always remember her in our prayers and light candles for her in the future to come. Rest in peace dear friend.
Mary & Josephine Leavy, Longford, Ireland.

My Auntie Maureen loved to take clippings of interesting stories, funny comics, or familiar faces from the newspaper to share with friends and family. The last clipping she gave me was the Irish Echo’s article on the 15th anniversary of the New York Irish Center earlier this fall. She was delighted to be there that evening, and she is pictured here with her good friend and card partner Tommy Ring and NYIC Executive Director George Heslin. She played such an important role in our lives and we will miss her dearly
