Edmond Fitzgerald, age 86, died Friday, May 18, 2018 at home in Woodside. Edmond was born February 17, 1932 in New York, NY. He was a retired Captain with the FDNY and was also a US Navy Veteran (Korean War). Beloved husband of the late Anne nee McMorrow. Loving father of Joseph and his wife Nadine, Maryanne, and Arleen Dondero and her husband John. Cherished grandfather of Ryan, Sean, Samantha, Matthew, Christian and Jack. Dear great-grandfather of Zöe. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 22 from 2-5PM and 7-9PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Queen of Angels RCC, 44th Street And Skillman Avenue, Sunnyside, NY. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY following the Mass.
