Obituary of Albert C. LaRocca

Albert Charles LaRocca passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at his home in Woodside, NY. He leaves his wife of 56 years, Gloria (O'Reilly) LaRooca; his daughter, Caroline LaRocca Hammond and his grandchildren, Sophia and Pierce Hammond. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sarabeth Hammond, his eleven brothers and sisters, and his parents, Anna and Luciano LaRocca. Mr. LaRocca's biggest passion in life was his family. He was an avid reader, cook, and enjoyed Big Band music. He had a strong work ethic which he always instilled in his family. In his early days, he played drums for an NYC based Dixieland band. He served Lighthouse Industries for over 30 years. Visitation will take place on Monday, March 13, 3-5pm and 7-9pm at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held at St. Sebastian Church in Woodside at 9:45am, followed by interment at Maple Grove Cemetery.
