We wish to express our heartfelt sympathy to all the family and friends of the wonderful, beautiful, loving, caring Eileen O'Keefe. Eileen was always an engaging, joyful, enthusiastic person, the kind of person you want to have as a friend. Nancy (Degnan) Waxman bonded with Eileen and the other long distance subway riders who commuted daily from Queens to Bishop McDonnell High School in Brooklyn. The trip took one and one-half hours each way. Other Bishop's girls in Eileen's group included Mary (Sweeney) Hartnett, Dorothy(Weisenceil) Hickey, Dorothy (McGuire) Greene, Marjorie (Egan) Wenderoth and Ann Clancy. These indomitable ladies kept up their friendship over the years by meeting for lunch at lest once a year and at Class Reunions. We will miss our dear Eileen and pray she will enjoy her heavenly reward, for she brought a little bit of heaven to each and everyone who was blessed to know her here on earth.
