Obituary of John J. Callaghan

John J. Callaghan, age 73, of Sunnyside, died Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Mt. Sinai Hospital of Queens. John was born December 5, 1942 in New York, NY. He was a retired Doorman for different apartment buildings. Beloved son of the late William and Margaret (Brady). Loving brother of Eileen Walsh, Anna Marie Poccio and the late Joan Smith, William Callaghan and Margaret Sheen. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 4 from 2-5PM and 7-9PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30am on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at St. Raphael's RCC, 35-20 Greenpoint Avenue, Long Island City, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family of John is requesting donations in his memory to St. Raphael's RCC Food Pantry 35-20 Greenpoint Avenue, Long Island City, NY 11101.
