Obituary of Gheorghe Petcu

Gheorghe Petcu, age 64, of Forest Hills, died on Monday, March 21, 2016 at North Shore University Hospital of Manhasset, NY surrounded by his immediate family. Gheorghe (George) was born on August 4, 1951 in Bucharest, Romania. He is the beloved husband of Maria and the loving father of his son Dragos-Gabriel and daughter-in-law Gerta. He is also survived by his loving mother Vasila of Bucharest, Romania and by scores of godchildren, cousins, friends and colleagues who became his adopted extended family over the past 30 years in the United States. Visitation will be Thursday, March 24 from 2-5PM and 7-9PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. The funeral will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 25, 2016 at St. Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church, Woodside, NY. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Maspeth following the Funeral Service."
