Fred J. Bauer, age 88, of Sunnyside, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Elmhurst Hospital. Mr. Bauer was born August 15, 1927 in New York, NY. He was a retired Peace Officer for the TBTA. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. Beloved husband of the late Rosemary nee Gannon. Loving father of Stephen and his wife Jadranka and Deborah Cadger. Cherished grandfather of Stephen, Kevin, Eric, Jeffrey, Christopher & Michael. Dear great grandfather of Jeffrey & Erin. Visitation will be Sunday, March 20 from 2-5PM and 7-9PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Prayer service will be held at 4PM. The funeral service will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Woodside on Monday, March 21 at 11:30 AM.
