Obituary of Eugene James O'Neill

Eugene James O'Neill, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Warwick Hospital. Eugene's love of his life was his wife Evelyn who predeceased him. Eugene is survived by his brothers John O'Neill, Daniel O'Neill and Frank O'Neill and his wife Marie. He was an uncle to 11 nieces and nephews, 24 great nephews and nieces and 3 great great nephews and nieces. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1951 – 1954 and was a life time member of the VFW post 2813 and a member of the American Legion Post 1443. He was retired from PBG and Local 812 who he worked with for 39 years. He was an avid sports fan. It didn't make a difference what sport or who was playing He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and was a huge fan of the TV show Law and Order. He probably knew every single episode. He also spent hours looking out at the scenery and wildlife after his move to the country. Calling hours will be Thursday, December 3 from 2-5PM and 7-9PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Queen Of Angels RCC, 44th Street And Skillman Avenue, Sunnyside, NY. Burial will be in Calverton National Cemetery, in Calverton, NY.
