John S. Doherty (Mr. D), age 98, of Woodside, died Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Queens Boulevard Extended Care Facility of Woodside, NY. John was born December 26, 1915 in New York, NY. He is the son of the late William and the late Isabella (McColgan) Doherty. Beloved husband of the late Rosalie (Weppler). Devoted father of Patrick, Kenneth, Richard, Maryanne (Wilkins) and the late Terry. Loving grandfather of Kelly, Caroline, John, Kenneth, Roseann, Danielle, Connor, Nicole, Max, Olivia, and Haley. Cherished great grandfather of Amber, Taylor, and James.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 2 from 2-5PM and 7-9:30PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY.

Funeral Mass will be held 10:00AM on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Queen Of Angels RCC, 44th Street And Skillman Avenue, Sunnyside, NY. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, NY.
