Obituary of Catherine B. Kirk

Catherine B. Kirk, also known as Cathy Kopcho, age 38, died on Thursday, October 1st, 2014 in Biloxi, Mississippi, formerly of Sunnyside, Queens. Cathy was born June 24, 1976 to Michael Kopcho, of Sunnyside, Queens NY, who precedes her in death. She is survived by mother Beverly Benomar, and step-father Mohamed Benomar. She is also survived by her loving son, Jondalar Caycedo, husband Hubert Dale Kirk Jr., of Biloxi MS, brother Michael J. Kopcho, sister Barbara Kopcho-Mincieli, brother-in-law Nick Mincieli and nephew Nicolas Mincieli. Cathy was an enthusiastic, smart, compassionate loving person with a big heart and love for life. She worked as a culinary chef and also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Cathy gardened, was an avid reader, loved animals and helped people in the community. During hurricane Katrina, she stayed in MS to volunteer and help the less fortunate. Her love for others was endless and she will be missed by many for years to come. Visitation will be Thursday, October 9 from 2-5PM and 7-9:30PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Religious service will be at 7:30PM on Thursday
