Dear Eileen:
I’m grateful that your suffering in over but missing you is painful. You invited me to this country on vacation many years ago.I never thought I would have to face life here without you. That was naïve on my part of course but that’s what the baby of the family does: live happily & leave the major responsibility to the big sister. You were a great sister. Always willing to help. Impossible to list the many times & ways that you helped. I know them & I'm so grateful, & that’s what matters. You took me to school the first day & remember, when that school came into sight how I sat down & refused to budge. From that day to this you have been my sister, my friend, my bridesmaid, the best aunt our children could ever have, a great sister-in-law to Pat. Don’t give up on us now; we still need you.Continue to guide us.Words can't express our sense of loss and emptiness. I'm happy you're home safe with Mom, Dad & other loved ones gone ahead.
Love and miss you forever.
Anna

Eileen -
It is hard to accept that you are truly gone from this Earth. What a huge hole you leave in my life and in the lives of the many, many people who loved you. The week of your funeral, I had my nieces over for a sleepover in tribute to you and the many times you had me, Maureen and Tricia over for a fun-filled night at your house. What fun it was to spend time with you! Oh, how we'd beg for a trip to Burger King -- you sometimes gave in! Your absence is huge. It's hard to pick what I miss most: your laugh, your love of Judge Judy, the little articles from the paper that you'd clip and mail to me, your handwriting, your smile, the way you nibbled your nails incessantly, your delicious dinners, your hatred of posing for pictures, the way you'd rib me for being too busy, your kindness to Jordan, your powerful walk, your devilish nature, your love of a good joke, your love of all children. What a beautiful life you lived. I wish I could call you and chat.
Love Helen

Our sincere sympathy on Eileen's passing. We first met Eileen 25 years ago as new immigrants. It would not be possible to find a kinder and more generous person than Eileen. She and Jim took care of us as if we were family, helping us to integrate to the American way of life (when life seemed very dismal and bleak back then). She was a good friend to us, helping us to find an apartment ,make friends and took us on many Sunday trips to various places. She and Jim were always available when we needed a helping hand in good times and bad. Eileen had a great sense of humor and was full of mischief!!I We always recall her hearty laugh. She was a joy to be around and her laughter was infectious. She was a great people person, loved her cup of coffee ,a chat and a bit of fun.She loved New York City and the simple pleasures in life.
Ni bheidh a leitheid ann aris.
Eileen rest in peace. We will never forget you.
Jim, our sincere sympathy.
