Obituary of Damian Stanley

DAMIAN MICHAEL STANLEY BORN: August 28, 1970 ETERNAL REST: December 9, 2024 Damian was born in Jonesboro, South Armagh and emigrated to the United States in 1990 and spent most of his time in New York. Damian's biggest and brightest contribution to this world are his two daughters, Seana and Tara. There is nothing that has given him more joy than his girls. He was so proud of their accomplishments, free spirits and the young women they have become. He instilled in them a love for Ireland and his family and was so happy to be able to send them to Ireland several times in the past few years. Damian was the first of five children born to Assumpta and Sean Stanley (dec. July 2020). Damian was fortunate to have a large family, including 4 siblings, Donna (Paul), Martina (Peter), Gerard, aka, Jake, and Suzanne (Craig). Damian has many aunts, uncles, cousins, godchildren, nieces, nephews, comrades and friends. Damian is survived by his loving life partner, Cecelia Lee and her two children. They shared many happy memories together and became a happy cat family. Damian enjoyed the craic with everyone, he especially enjoyed meeting up with anyone who was out from home. You can be sure you heard his boisterous laugh before you saw him! Damian will be sent home to Ireland for his funeral and burial. Visitation will be Saturday, December 14 from 4-8PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Funeral Service will be held 6:30 pm on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Jonesboro, Co. Armagh, Ireland.
