Deborah McCarthy (nee' Galvin) passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital of Newburgh, NY surrounded by her family. Debbie, as she was better known, was born on July 15,1933 in the Bronx, NY. She was a longtime resident of Woodside, NY and LaGrange, NY.

Beloved wife of the late James McCarthy. Loving mother to Theresa, Jimmy (Caroline), Aileen, Debbie, and Jeanine (Donal). Loving Nanny to Dillon McCarthy, Brendan McCarthy, (Jenna), James Buckley and Ryan Forrester.

Sister to Ann Fitzgibbon, the late Bobby Galvin, the late Margaret O'Sullivan, and the late Daniel Galvin. She is survived by her brothers-in-law Edward Barry and Jack McCarthy, and many loving nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Reposing at Edward Lynch Funeral Home, 43-07 Queens Blvd. Sunnyside, NY, Monday, June 17,2024 from 3:00-8:00PM. Funeral Mass Tuesday, 10:45am at Saint Sebastian's Church, Woodside, NY. Burial at Calverton National Cemetery at 1:30pm.
