Karen J. Westcott Obituary
Karen Joy (Gould) Westcott passed away in her sleep on Monday, February 12th. She was born on January 11, 1952 to Anne Westcott and James Gould in Brooklyn, NY. She met the love of her life, Nicholas Jesse Westcott, and married on March 22, 1975. She had a fulfilling career and retired with the NYC Board of Education, where she worked with the Headstart program and assisted many New York City residents with social services needed to have a better life. Her boys will always remember time as an amazing Boy Scout Troop 390 Committee member while growing up, and memorable trips to Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Jersey, and Florida with her family. She also is remembered to love shopping and proud of her families accomplishments.
She is survived by her husband, two children, Nicholas (Rebekah) and Michael (Jenn), and three grandchildren, Riley, Ryder and Thomas, whom she adored, and her three sisters Janice, Debbie, and Beth who she loved and always enjoyed coming together during family gatherings. Visitation will be Thursday, February 15 from 4-8PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 am on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY.
Burial will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton on Friday, February 16 at 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for any donation to be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
