Obituary of Patrick Joseph Farrelly

Patrick Joseph Farrelly died January 6, 2024 surrounded by friends and family. Patrick was born January 10, 1931 in Co. Cavan, Ireland. He immigrated to the United States to his Aunt Mary in 1955 at the age of 24. He met and married his beloved wife of 65 years, Peggy in 1958. Together they went on to raise a family of four while operating an auto repair business in Woodside, Queens, NY. He resided in Woodside NY, Hudson NY, Lords Valley PA and Sarasota FL. He leaves behind his children Joseph, Patrick and Phyllis, daughter-in-law Patricia, grandchildren Michael Farrelly, Cassidy Farrelly , Gregory , Michael and Saiorse Hopp, his nephew Owen Lennon, wife Rosemarie and their children Kelly and Rachel, his sister Margaret Healey, sister in law Maudie and husband Patrick Riordan. Was predeceased by his son Michael Farrelly, grandson Patrick Farrelly and grandnephew Owen Lennon. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 10 from 4-8PM and Thursday, January 11 from 4-8PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:45 am on Friday, January 12, 2024 at St. Sebastians RCC, 58th Street and Roosevelt Avenue, Woodside, NY. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, in Farmingdale, at 1:00 pm.
