Israel Pepe Megias died December 22, 2023 at his home in Whitestone. Israel was born on August 1, 1938 in Cardenas, Cuba to Antonia Catalan and Ibrahim Megias. He grew up in Havana where he did much mischief with his brother Ybrahim (Papito) and sisters Mercedes, Omaida, and Yolanda. He came to US in 1961 with a suitcase and a 9-month pregnant wife and life partner, Teresa Megias. He is also survived by his children Vivian, Dianna, and Anthony Megias; his grandchildren Samantha, Anthony, Christopher, Sophia, Gregory, and Dante; his great grandchildren Alia, Sophia, Zoey and Maddox, as well as, innumerable nieces, nephews and friends on which he left an indelible imprint of his beautiful kind smile, his love for family and his hilarious wit.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 27 from 4-8PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY.

Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Queen of Angels RCC, 44th Street And Skillman Avenue, Sunnyside, NY. Cremation Private.
