Mary Alice Courtenay was born on February 16, 1955 in Queens, NY, the daughter of John and Bridget (Hurley) Courtenay. She died December 2, 2023. Mary Alice graduated from Marist College and worked as a teacher, retiring in 2019 before moving to Long Island. Mary Alice is survived by her loving nieces Stacey and Mary, four grandnieces, one grandnephew, and sister-in-law Elizabeth (Betsy). Besides Mary Alice's parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Bridget Courtenay and brother John Courtenay.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 9 from 9-11AM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Woodside on Saturday at 11:45 am.
