Margaret H McAuliffe Obituary
On January 11, 1929. Margaret was born to Emma and Timothy McAuliffe in New York City, younger sister to her late brother Timothy McAuliffe.
She worked for Citibank from October 25, 1960 and officially retired on March 1, 1987.
She modestly, and without conceit, held the role of Assistant Vice President of Stocks and Bonds.
She traveled the world from Hawaii to Russia to Rome, and so many places in between.
She was the oldest living relative therefore making her the matriarch to a very extensive family of cousins. She was a beloved sister to her one and only late brother Timothy, sister-in-law to Timothy's wife, Connie McAuliffe. She was aunt to Clara and her husband, Lou Fiorentino and Maggie with her husband, Russell Lawson. Grand aunt to Laura and Louis Jr. Fiorentino and grand aunt to Russell Jr. and Victoria Lawson. The title that she was most proud of was Great-Grand Aunt to her precious "Tiny Tim", son of Russell Jr. and Megan Walsh, as she called him, for whom they named after her brother. And we all called her Aunty.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 18 from 4-8PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:45 am on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at St. Sebastians RCC, 58th Street And Roosevelt Avenue, Woodside, NY. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Woodside on Thursday, October 19 at 12:00 pm.
