Beatrice O'Dea (who would have turned 85 on December 11, 2022), of Boynton Beach, FL, passed away peacefully in the company of her oldest granddaughter and great-grandchildren on December 6, 2022. Beatrice was born on December 11, 1937, to Martin Harrigan and Delia Broderick Harrigan (originally of Co. Kerry, Ireland) and grew up alongside her older sister Betty in the Bronx, NY. Beatrice met the love of her life Edmond O'Dea, and they wed in 1958 and made their home in Woodside, Queens, where they lived happily for 51 years alongside many friends. In Woodside, they raised their children Mary, Martin, Edmond Jr, and Daniel. Beatrice was also a loving mother-in-law to Gilbert, Lorraine, and Moiralee and a doting grandmother to her eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Beatrice was not only a dedicated wife and mother but also worked outside the home, holding positions at Wallachs Department Store and The Big Six Apartments, and was a dedicated and beloved coworker. After retirement, Bea and Ed acquired a love of travel and jet set all over the globe visiting each of the seven continents! They also joined their daughter and her family in the Four Green Fields community in upstate NY, where they spent happy summers with friends listening to Irish music, playing cards, and watching their grandchildren grow. They purchased a home in Boynton Beach, FL, were active members of the Sterling Village community, and made incredible bonds with their new neighbors. Beatrice was predeceased by her parents, sister Betty Fennell, her husband Edmond O'Dea, and her daughter Mary Lynch (Gilbert). She is survived by her children: Martin O'Dea (Moiralee), Edmond O'Dea (Lorraine), and Daniel O'Dea; grandchildren: Sheelagh Robb (Kyle), Eamon Lynch, Tara Lynch, Ryan O'Dea (Ciara), Erin O'Dea (Tom), Brendan O'Dea, Julia O'Dea, Delia O'Dea, great-grandchildren: Molly Robb and Jack Robb as well as many nieces and nephews and her extended family who will all remember her fondly and miss her dearly.
