Obituary of Jose M. Vieira

Jose Manuel Pinheiro Vieira was born in Merceana, Portugal on April 15, 1937 and died on September 29, 2022 in Calvary Hospital in Bronx, New York after a courageous battle with stomach cancer. Jose immigrated to New York in May 1970 and is survived by his wife of 57 years of marriage, Maria da Graca, his daughters Cristiana and Michelle, his granddaughters Tori and Katie, and his sons-in-law Lawrence and Freddy. Jose enjoyed sharing his Portuguese pride amongst his family and friends; often sharing stories over a cup of coffee and tending to his garden. He always believed in helping others be it family, friends and neighbors. Visitation will be Sunday, October 2 from 3-7PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am on Monday, October 3, 2022 at St. Teresa RCC, 44th Street And 50th Avenue, Woodside, NY. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens following the Mass.
