Obituary of Douglas Joseph Bedekovich

Douglas Joseph Bedekovich died March 14, 2022. Douglas was born April 16, 1946 in NYC. Son of Dorothy and Joe Bedekovich and beloved brother and uncle, Douglas leaves behind his sister, Barbara, niece, Victoria and Bibi, his cherished home aide. A music connoisseur, he loved jazz and swing music boasting an extensive record collection and dabbling in any horn instrument himself. He also loved finance and religiously followed the markets every day. By trade an electrician, he was meticulous in everything he did documenting every detail in full. Always living on his own terms, he held his head high as a fighter even when times were tough bouncing back miraculously when everyone else gave up. As Frank Sinatra says, you can say he always did it "[His] Way." He will now rest in peace next to his beloved mother, Dorothy, at St. Michael's Cemetery in Queens, whom he has missed very much. Visitation will be Saturday, March 19 from 9:30AM - 11Am at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Prayer service will be held at 10:30AM. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, East Elmhurst on Saturday, March 19 at 11:45AM.
