Obituary of Margaret A. Norris
Margaret A. Norris (née Walsh) died peacefully on Wednesday, March 2nd surrounded by loving family. She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Broda and her husband Michael, Catherine Babian and her husband Robert, and Lauren Norris-Ginsberg and her husband Scott; grandchildren Mikaela Broda and Joseph Babian; and her sisters Deborah Rosso, Dianne Walsh, Brenda DeWachter and her husband Ryan, and Barbara Ramirez and her wife Tabitha; and sisters-in-law Catherine Cotter and husband Thomas, and Patricia Norris.
She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Anthony, James and his wife Siobhan, Michael, Jessica, Brian, Caitlin, Thomas, Daniel, Kimberly, Jacqueline and Rudy, as well as, great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph V. Norris, her parents Thomas & Margaret Walsh and brother-in-law James Robert Norris, Sr.
Born and raised in Queens, NY. She met her husband and friends in the 2nd court. Married in 1980, she soon started her family in 1982. Later in life, she went back to school to become a Registered Nurse. She continued her education to earn a Master's Degree. She then became a Professor of Nursing which she loved for many years before retiring and relocating to South Carolina to be near her sisters.
Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be truly missed.
Visitation hours will be Saturday, March 5 from 3pm-7PM and Sunday, March 6 from 3-7PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:15 am on Monday, March 7, 2022 at St. Teresa RCC, 44th Street And 50th Avenue, Woodside, NY. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, in Woodside.
