Edward D. Loftus died September 27, 2021 at his home in Sunnyside. Ed was born July 13, 1931 in Dublin, Ireland. Retired Doorman from Local # 32BJ. Korean War Veteran. Ed was also a member of The Holy Name Society and usher at Queen of Angels RCC. Beloved husband of Della (nee Ward). Loving father of Mary Rose McNicholas (Bernard), Michael (Kathy), Ann McGovern (Tim), Helen Kelly (Tim) and the late Nora Loftus. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Daniel, Sean, Kathleen, Cara, Siobhan, Amanda, Ryan, Sarah and Timothy. Great-grandfather to Sawyer. Dear brother to Sr. Mary Carmel, CR, Paddy, Tommy, Noel, Patricia and the late Willie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be Friday, October 1 from 4-8PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:15 am on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Queen Of Angels RCC, 44th Street And Skillman Avenue, Sunnyside, NY. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, in Woodside, after the Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations sent to Queen of Angels RCC in memory of Edward D.
