Joan "Joanie" Brooks died early morning February 25, 2021, in her home, following a valiant, prolonged battle against kidney cancer. A life-long " NYC girl", Joanie was the daughter of Henry and Kathleen O'Brien Brooks. She is survived by her loving sister, Geraldine " Geri" Brooks, a multitude of cousins (Marian, Berni, Felicia, Stacy most close), and a throng of close and devoted friends from the various chapters of her life.

Hers has been a successful life. While we mourn the immediate loss of her bright spirit, we celebrate the joyful memories she has shared with us. As her sister, I invite you to share your Joan or Joanie with us.
