Obituary of Florence Dadiego
Gardenzia (Florence) Dadiego was born in Manhattan on July 11, 1930. She moved to Sunnyside as a toddler and lived there until moving to Florida with her beloved husband, Mike and son Nick and daughter-in-law Doreen 6 years ago. Florence loved to read and always wanted to be a librarian. She made good use of the Sunnyside Library. Family was the most important thing to Florence. She loved her family unconditionally and would do anything for those she loved. She was an active member of St. Raphael's church. Florence leaves behind her son, Nick (Doreen), daughter Margherite (Dan) and grandchildren Amanda and Zayd.
A graveside service will be held at 11:45 am on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Calvary Cemetery, 49-02 Laurel Hill Boulevard, Woodside, NY. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Woodside.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in Florence's memory to St. Raphael's Food Pantry 35-20 Greenpoint Avenue, Long Island City, N.Y. 11101.
