Dorothy Carrieri Smith (nee Martin) died July 17, 2020 at Mather Memorial Hospital of Port Jefferson Station, NY. Dorothy was born December 19, 1945 in New York, NY. Formerly of NYC and Sunnyside. She was a retired Analyst for NYC DOT. Beloved wife of Robert. Loving mother of Teresa Gallagher. Cherished grandmother of Frankie Gallagher and his wife Hala and great-grandmother of Hendrix Floyd Gallagher. Dear sister of Madelene and John Martin. Dorothy was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 22 from 4-8PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 am on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Queen of Angels RCC, 44th Street And Skillman Avenue, Sunnyside, NY. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Middle Village following the Mass.
