Obituary of Thomas F. Black

Thomas F. Black died March 6, 2020 at Calvary Hospital. Thomas was born June 23, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY. Son of Thomas and Mary (nee McGlynn). He was a proud WWII US Army Veteran, retired from American Standard and a member of John V. Daniel Post #2813, VFW. Thomas also had fond memories of the many summers in Rockaway. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee Touhey). Loving father of Kevin, Colleen Horton and Donna Walsh. Cherished grandfather of Heather, Liam, Thomas, Michael, Katherine, Sean, Kevin and Meaghan. Dear great-grandfather of Nate, Conor, Elizabeth and Bella. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10 from 4-8PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Funeral Mass will be held 9:45 am on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at St. Sebastians RCC, 58th Street And Roosevelt Avenue, Woodside, NY. Burial will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton following the Funeral Mass.
