Obituary of Letha Hudson

Letha Elizabeth (Killough) Hudson died on Wednesday, March 4th, 2020. She was born April 1st, 1925 in Pittsburgh, PA to Letha Elizabeth (Banks) Killough and Harold Henry Killough. They relocated to NY in about 1930 where Letha spent her entire life. She graduated from high school at sixteen and went on to get a Bachelor's degree from Hunter College. Letha had various jobs during her working career from being a court reporter, inspector for the NY Port Authority and assistant to Henry Cabot Lodge when he was Ambassador to the United Nations. She married Lawrence William Hudson in 1959 and had one son the following year. She retired as senior secretary at Queens Child Guidance Center in 1990. She is survived by her only son Roderick a veterinarian in Arlington, VA and 2 grandchildren, Ariel and Evan. Visitation will be on Friday, March 6 from 10AM-12PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Burial will be in Pinelawn Memorial Park, in Farmingdale at 1:15 pm.
