Obituary of Natalie M. McCann

Natalie McCann (nee Munoz) died January 20, 2020 at Sunrise Glen Cove Assisted Living after suffering for many years with Alzheimer's Disease. Natalie was born December 29, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY. She was a longtime resident of the Celtic Apartments, Woodside, NY and Parishioner of St. Teresa RC Church. Natalie was also a Past President of St. Teresa Rosary Society. Beloved wife of the late George M. McCann. Loving mother of George G. McCann and his late wife Mary Margaret, Natalie Moriarty and her husband Michael and the late Bernard McCann and Thomas McCann (FDNY 9/11/2001). Fond Mother-in-Law to Camille McCann-Staats and Anne Marie McCann Gardner. Cherished grandmother of Michelle McCann and Joseph, Megan McCann O'Leary and her husband Mark, Courtney Sosna and her husband Michael, Sean McCann and Daniel Moriarty. Dearest great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Ann Baran and predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Natalie enjoyed spending time with many dear friends who have gone before her. Visitation will be Thursday, January 23 from 2-5PM and 7-9PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Funeral Mass will be held 10:15 am on Friday, January 24, 2020 at St. Teresa RCC, 44th Street And 50th Avenue, Woodside, NY. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Middle Village following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in Natalie's memory to The Alzheimer's Association 225 N.
