Obituary of Helen Lalor

Helen Lalor (nee Moran) passed away on December 18, 2019 surrounded by family. She was born in Manhattan in 1924. She was as beautiful as she was brilliant. She was selected for and attended Hunter High School for Girls an extremely selective school. She married John Lalor on April 10, 1942, the day before he entered the Army. While he was gone she worked in various clerical jobs. When John returned, she raised her family before she went back to work at Burns Security and later Macys. She was very lucky to have had many devoted friends, and she enjoyed going out with them for good times. She is survived by her children Maclyn (Lynn), Sean (Barbara), and Pamela (Peter). She was preceded in death by her daughter Nancy. She was a loving grandmother to Erin, Adam (Marie), Meghan (Jeremy), Matthew, Brynn (Joseph) and Meredith. Owen and Gavin were her beloved great grandchildren. She had a number of nieces and nephews who were also an important part of her life. Visitation will be Sunday, December 22 from 1-5PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 23 at Queen of Angels RCC, 44th Street and Skillman Avenue, Sunnyside, NY. Burial will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY.
