I can remember Gerry vividly. Always a " stand up guy", a hard working local 3 brother, and most importantly, a " role model" for hundreds of youngsters. People like Gerry don't just happen, they are the product of a wonderful father, mother and siblings.wishing Gerry nothing but Peace on the other side, and comfort to all those affected by this truly great loss

Our friendship started as rivalries on different sides of the neighborhood. We both wanted only the best for our community and youth. Rivalry quickly turned to friendship. I could go on forever but will simply say my heart is broken and I will never forgive myself for not spending more time with you. I love you and I WILL see you again.

In his youth Gerry was one of our neighborhoods best athletes but he was even a better guy. He loved our neighborhood, we would always reminince about our youth and how great it was growing up in Sunnyside whenever we would see each other. He turned out to be a hell of a coach as well. My son had a game last night, Mcclancy versus Bishop Ford and prior to game there was a moment of silence for Geryy. He didn't even go to either of those schools . Just shows the respect and admiration the basketball community had for Gerry. We'll miss you bud. God Bless. Sean

Graduated St. Raphael's with Jerry in 1974 and still remember playing football with him at Bear Mountain on a class trip in 8th Grade. My condolences to Jerry's family and friends.
