December 29, 2019 In Remembrance of John Miletic On behalf of the Community and Tenant Leaders for our NYC Neighborhoods, we mourn the passing of John who was a fixture in our neighborhood for many many years Prior to his illness taking a turn in 2017, John was a always vigorous and a friendly neighbor often seen with his cane walking on the sidewalk getting coffee at his favorite coffee shop. A number of John's neighbors would leave food at his apartment door because they knew he liked home cooked meals, along with gifts and cards during the holiday season. When John found out in 2005 that was of his long time neighbors got married, he showed up at their apartment door with a wedding gift and wedding card, he felt comfortable with them and would often sit in their kitchen, while they fed him home cooked meals. John often shared with them, along with other neighbors a deep knowledge of the world and an astute understanding of people in general, more often than not his temper would get the better of him because he was struggling emotionally to cope with his health, yet John was always passionate about what he believed in In recent years his health continued to decline but John fought the good fight and never gave up John, Will be Remembered Rest In Peace Community & Tenant Leaders NYC Neighborhoods
