Donald M. McCallian, age 85, of Sunnyside, died Friday, September 27th, 2019. Donald was born August 17, 1934 in New York, NY. Retired Rep for United States Lines. Vice President of the 108 Pct Community Council. Member of Community Board #2. Past President of United Forties Civic Association. Longtime parishioner and Usher at St. Raphael's Church. Food Pantry at St. Raphael's Church. Member of Kiwanis Club and Lions Club of Sunnyside and Sunnyside Community Services. Devoted and beloved husband of Eileen (nee Donovan). Loving brother of Veronica Hennessy. Brother-in-law to John Donovan. Dear uncle to Larry, Carol, Kathy, Ellen, Laura, Gerard, Veronica, Margaret and their spouses and John, Richard, and the late Bob Donovan. Great-uncle to 16 nieces & nephews and Great grand uncle to 3. Visitation will be Sunday, September 29 from 2-5PM and 7-9PM and Monday, September 30 from 2-5PM and 7-9PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at St. Raphael's RCC, 35-20 Greenpoint Avenue, Long Island City, NY. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, in Valhalla, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charity in memory of Don would be deeply appreciated.
