Obituary of Vartan Ovanesian

Vartan Ovanesian, age 63, of Bellmore, died Thursday, September 12th, 2019. Vartan was born October 3rd, 1955 in Galati, Romania. Beloved son of the late Bariur and Elena (nee Andrei). Dear brother to Diruhi. Devoted husband of Adriana (nee Magardician). Loving father of Iris (Perry) and Anahida (Eddie). Cherished grandfather and best friend of Vivian Gaiane. Vartan loved to laugh and even more, he loved to make people laugh. He was a kind soul with a heart of gold who was loved unconditionally by not only his family but the Armenian Community. He devoted 15 years to the Armenian Church Sports Association (ACSA) as both Commissioner and Coach. He was a respected Engineer who was loved by all of his co-workers and clients. Visitation will be Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 7 PM -9 PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc. 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY with a Prayer Service at 8pm. Funeral Service will be held 10 AM on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc. 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery
