Smaranda Cocioba, MD, age 69, of New York, died Sunday, March 3, 2019 at home. Smaranda was born April 28, 1949 in Resita, Romania. Visitation will be Thursday, March 7 from 5-9Pm and Friday, March 8 from 5-9Pm at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY with a Prayer Service Friday at 7:30pm. Burial will be in Costei Cemetery, Timis, Romania. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations in Smaranda's memory to St Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church, Fr.
