Aurelia Ion, age 89, of Woodside, died Friday, March 1, 2019 at Mary Manning Walsh of New York, NY. Aurelia was born September 3, 1929 in Romania. Beloved wife of the late George. Loving mother of Dan and his wife Gabriela. Cherished grandmother of Sabina Ion and her husband Troy Samuels. Visitation will be Sunday, March 3 from 2-4PM & 6-9PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Prayer Service will be held at 8PM. The funeral will be held 9:30 am on Monday, March 4, 2019 at St. Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church, 45-03 48th Avenue, Woodside, NY. Burial will be in Nassau Knolls Cemetery, in Port Washington at 11:30AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Saint Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church would be deeply appreciated.
