Obituary of George Grozav

George Grozav, age 78, of Astoria, died Sunday, January 20, 2019. George was born on January 12, 1941 in Arad, Romania. He retired as a doorman from The Local #32BJ. Beloved husband of Maria (nee Herman). Loving father of Adriana Chong (William) & Daniela Grozav (Laszlo). Cherished grandfather of Christina and Isabelle Chong. Dear brother of Ion Silviu Grozav (Henrieta). He is also survived by many loving nieces & nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 23 from 7-9PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. The funeral service will be held 9:30 am on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at St. Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church, 45-03 48th Avenue, Woodside, NY. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, in East Elmhurst, at 11AM.
