I am so grateful for the opportunity to have worked with Janelle over these past 3 years. She has taught me so much. Not only was she a smart and dedicated colleague, but she was a wonderful and caring friend with the most infectious energy and spirit. I miss you, lil J. Love -lil Stace

I wish that I had had more time to get to know Janelle; I only knew her for a few months since the time I joined Student Achievement Partners this summer. But from the very first time I met her, I was struck by her friendly, welcoming attitude and her willingness to share her honest opinions while still leaving room for others to come to their own conclusions. She will be so, so missed.

This captures the spirit of Janelle so well. She was a wonderful coworker, and her jokes, pithy comments and wit resonate with me daily right now as I absorb her loss. Sending love to her family and friends.

Janelle was a true sister in every sense of the word. I had the pleasure to spend time with Janelle once in a while when meeting up with Edison. I loved everything about Janelle. Her personality and joy was infectious and spread to everyone she is around. My deepest sympathy goes out to Janelle’s family and friends. I was shocked to hear of her death and pray she will stay in power. Peace, Love and Light be with our sister as she moves in spirit with Olodumare. Aśe

Janelle was an highly intelligent free spirit she always had a plan she thought everything out as simple as going to the Goodwill and seeking out the most worn out fixture and turning it into a beautiful masterpiece she had a God given skill to create and she used it .
Janelle had a shy suddle side about her I would always say it was that PI skill to get to know you on her own terms and if she liked you she would bring you close to her heart and if she didn't like you she would just leave you alone .
Janelle followed her heart she had an adventurous spirit and the heart to reach out to help other people and she did from Michigan to Tennessee to Africa to New York to name a few.
I can remember Janelle from age 4 when Princess would bring them over for my Friday Fish fry game night and Janelle being a little girl would organize the bigger kids she had a look and a laugh that was contagious that always got her way with things.
I always shared with Janelle how special she was and encouraged her to follow her heart in all things .
Janelle was and always will be my third daughter and she knew it she made an Impact in my heart as well as my daughters that she called cousin.
I will forever remember that beautiful smile and the long talks we shared.
Janelle and Brianna always put a smile on my face especially when I would pop up at their apartment.
I love you Janelle always and knowing that you're with Princess helps to heal the pain.
Love Cendy
