Obituary of Salvatore W. Vagra

Salvatore W. Vagra, age 92, of Sunnyside, died Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Calvary Hospital of Bronx, NY. Mr. Vagra was born February 13, 1926 in New York City. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and a retired Administrator with Con Edison. Beloved husband of the late Beatrice M. (nee Sullivan). Loving father of Anne Marie Zanfardino and her husband John, James and his girlfriend Rosemary, Beatrice Vagra Gomez and her husband Luis, and the late Christopher. Cherished grandfather of Carissa Zanfardino, Alec Vagra, Kyle Vagra, Tara Vagra, Shane Vagra, Luis Gomez and Gianna Gomez. Visitation will be Monday, October 22 from 2-9PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 am on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at St. Raphael's RCC, 35-20 Greenpoint Avenue, Long Island City, NY. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Woodside following the Mass.
