John Hickey, age 50, of Long Island City, died suddenly on Thursday, July 13. Mr. Hickey was born October 26, 1966 in New York, NY. He is a Plumber for the Local #1. Beloved son of Manuela (Gonzaga) and the late Cornelius. Devoted husband of Laura (nee Rojas). Cherished father of Megan, Jessica, Neil & Lindsay. Dear brother of Robert (Jill) & Margie (Rob). Son-in-law to John Rojas. Brother-in-law to Lisa Sevey. He was also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & many loving friends. Visitation will be Sunday, July 16 from 2-5PM and 7-9PM and Monday, July 17 from 2-5PM and 7-9PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at St. Raphael's RCC, 35-20 Greenpoint Avenue, Long Island City, NY. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, in Woodside, following the Mass.
