James J. "Jimmy" Hayes Obituary
After a brief illness, James Joseph "Jimmy" Hayes passed away peacefully on April 24, surrounded by his loving family and in the compassionate care of the doctors and staff at Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital.
Jimmy was the beloved son of the late James ("Jim") and Betty Hayes (nee Kelly). He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by Debbie and their son, James Dylan; his daughter, Shannon; and his cherished granddaughters, Chloe, Jamie, and Cayley.
He is also survived by his brothers, Kevin, Brendan, and John; his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law; as well as his nieces, nephews, and grandnieces. Jimmy leaves behind a wide circle of extended family and many dear friends who will remember him fondly.
Jimmy was a former member of NYC Carpenters Local 608/157 and a proud native of Kilmeaden, County Waterford, Ireland.
Visitation will be Monday, April 27 from 4-8PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY.
Prayer Service will be held 6:00 pm on Monday, April 27, 2026 at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY.
