Dane Michael Tracey 70, of Jackson Heights New York passed away on March 4, 2026. A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on April 25, 2026 at Saint Mark's Episcopal Church in Jackson Heights with Reverend Pedro Cuevas officiating at the Interment.

Dane was born in Annapolis Md. April 13, 1955 to Frank and Elaine (nee Keller) Staudenmaier. After the death of his father he was adopted by Elaine's second spouse Clarence Tracey in 1959.

Dane graduated from Dulaney High School in Timonium Md. in 1973 and Towson State University in 1978, where he performed in numerous plays and musicals while attending both. He relocated to New York in 1980 where he could enjoy his love of the Opera and Theater. His career path eventually led him to the Church Pension Group where he attained the level of VP of Human Resources.

Dane was pre-deceased by his long-time partner Francisco Ortiz, and is survived by his brother Daryl, sister Tammy, sister-in-law Carolyn, nephew Matthew and godchildren Robbie King, Anna Kuhlmey, and Christopher Freeman. He is also survived by other relatives of the Tracey and Keller families, and many friends.
