Obituary of Thomas Joseph Hogan

Thomas Hogan, age 78, passed away peacefully on January 24th 2026 surrounded by his Family. Thomas was born on July 28th 1948 in Tulla CO. Clare Ireland. He is predeceased by his parents Daniel & Annie Hogan, and his sister Carmel Burke. Thomas is survived by his wife Eileen Hogan, Brother Patrick "PJ" Hogan, and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be remembered for his work in the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Union 157 for over 25 years, especially the dedication of him and his fellow brothers in volunteering to help with the recovery and cleanup in the aftermath of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks. He shared a great pride of his Irish Culture and he was very proud to be able to march for many years in the St Patrick's Day parades as a drummer representing his beloved CO. Clare. Visitation will be Sunday, February 8 from 3-5PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY, for those who would like to say a last goodbye. Funeral Mass will be held 10:45 am on Monday, February 9, 2026 at St. Sebastians RCC, 58th Street And Roosevelt Avenue, Woodside, NY. Funeral Mass in Ireland will be at St. Peter's and Paul Church in Tulla, Ireland and burial to follow at St. Mochalla's Church Graveyard, where he will be laid to rest next to his beloved parents.
