Saddened to read of Catherine’s passing. She was always pleasant and smiling whenever Dotsy and I would meet her. Always nice to our 5 children. The day 17 years ago I moved from the Celtics Catherine and another neighbor,Terry, gave me a bottle of wine and wished me well. Now I wish you “Bon Voyage “ Catherine.

Oh dear Catherine-it’s so hard to believe you are no longer with us. We (my mother-in-law, myself and my husband David) met you at the Bristal and we became friends immediately! There were many games of bingo played, social hour in the Bistro and many more moments of shared friendship. One of the things that l loved most about you was what a great advocate you were for my mother-in-law Esther. You looked after her, holding her hand and comforting her during her many sad moments (having lost her husband a year ago June) and always letting us know if there was a problem (she often would try to stand up from her wheelchair which was a problem as she is unable to walk). I cannot tell you how much you will be missed. It’s so hard to believe you are no longer here.You were a daily presence in our lives and I am grateful for having known you. You were such a sweet, gentle, caring and welcoming person, Catherine, and most certainly will always have a special place in our hearts. Always, Barbara Spera, Esther and family

Catherine, the one who brought us together, began her Sunday teas after Mass with LeeAnn and Lorraine, gradually inviting others. I was delighted when she invited me. I eagerly anticipated Sunday mornings and the camaraderie they would bring. Catherine was a wonderful friend to everyone. She lived a faith-filled life, truly inspiring others to be better versions of themselves. She will be greatly missed.
