I worked with Sheila many years ago at the American Banker when we were just secretaries. There was never a dull moment in those days! I was so proud of her when she became an executive. Not surprising, as she was the smartest one of us. I’m so sorry to hear of her passing. May you Rest In Peace Sheila. I have very fond memories of our days working together.

I have known Sheila for almost 70 years from her days living on 38th Street through our entire adult life. I was a year ahead of her in grade school. We had wonderful times together at Sodality dances at St. Raphael's, and just hanging out together with Bernadette, Kathy, Jackie O'Brien and the "St. Raphael's crowd". I remember how she didn't want to go away to Sag Harbor and leave all of us. We had a going away party at my house on 39th Street (the party house for every occasion!) and we crowned Sheila "Miss Sag Harbor". The last time I saw her was 13 years ago at the 40th Anniversary of my Priestly Ordination when she surprised me at my celebration. It was awesome to see her come all the way up to Albany for that special occasion. We had so much wholesome, good fun growing up. I could go on and on . . . . . it was great. Sheila, "thanks for the memories", thanks for you and Rest in Peace in the presence of the God you loved and served so well. Love, Kenny

I am so grateful for all of the one-on-one time I had with Aunt Sheila over the past couple of weeks. Early on during her hospital stay she shared lots of memories and stories of Driscoll Days growing up. As it became evident her health was likely too weak to recover, I was blessed to share FaceTime videos, phone calls, text messages and in person visits with Aunt Sheila from so many of her beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and longtime friends.
Every call, message and visit was greeted with such genuine happiness from Aunt Sheila and a huge smile of adoration. She had a way of making everyone feel special. And she was so grateful for the love and support everyone showed her as we celebrated her life in her final time with all of us.
May she rest in peace among her sister and brothers, parents and loved ones who passed before her.

I have so many amazing memories of Aunt Sheila. I was so lucky to call her my Aunt. I am so glad that my daughter got to know her and call her Aunt Sheila. To hear the Driscoll stories and feel the love she had for all of us will never be forgotten. Everyone is greater for having know Sheila Driscoll. We are so sorry we could not be there to celebrate the life of this amazing woman. We miss you terribly- Doreen, Daniel and Brielle

Childhood memories of Aunt Sheila often feature her arriving to Christmas dinner toting a bag full of presents rivaling Santa’s, and the impeccably timed birthday card with the cash prize commensurate with your age. But beyond that, she was always such a presence in our lives. Whenever we got together, she always wanted to know what was going on with you, and it was always genuine. She loved all of her nieces and nephews (and then her grandnieces and grandnephews).
In later life, she moved out to Long Island, and became an even bigger part of my life due to proximity. For a number of years after my Dad died, we came to think of Aunt Sheila as part of the Dynamic Duo, with my Mom — always there to help us when we needed someone to watch the kids, or the dog, or even help with a soccer practice carpool when we got too stretched. And that continued even after Mom passed. She would still house/pet sit for us and her pal, Rooney, our big goofy goldendoodle. We will miss the family stories shared (sometimes repeatedly :)) over dinner. My family and I will always be so thankful for her presence in our lives.

I was just thinking about how you used to drive me to and from soccer practice in your red car and how you called the gps Digby. Me and Makaela still laugh about Digby to this day. You and Nana also drove me to the Nutcracker when I was in it, and then took me to a peanut free bakery to get a treat for my birthday. I loved all of our Sunday night dinners together where I got to tell you everything in my life and you listened like I was the most interesting person in the world. I loved when you would tell me about all of my cousins, and I really loved your tradition of giving someone the same amount of money as their age on their birthday! And more recently I’ve loved hanging out with you while my family was away and I was home working at Camp Anchor. Seeing you and Rooney in the morning was a perfect way to start my day and I loved watching Jeopardy with you or America’s Got Talent when I got home from camp. It was always a treat when Dad let me drive to come pick you up or drop you off because no matter how many times I almost crashed you were always proud of me. Thank you so much for always being awesomesauce. I love you more than words can say.
