Obituary of John P. McDonald

John Patrick McDonald, born on August 18, 1961, in Brooklyn, New York, passed away after a brief illness on October 28, 2025, in Queens, New York. He was 64 years old. He is lovingly remembered by his partner CC Walsh, his children John (Lindsey) and Courtney Myers (Mike), his grandchildren Kayden, Liam, Emerson, Bryson, Reagan, and Aaliyah, his brothers Kevin (Melissa) and Brian, nephew Michael and niece Shannon, and numerous friends, cousins and extended family. He was predeceased by his mother, Joan M. McDonald, and father, John P. McDonald. John proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps. He made a career as a long-haul truck driver, and he loved being on the road and traveling the country. He and CC enjoyed spending their free time taking cruises, visiting beaches, and soaking up the sun. He will be remembered most for his quick wit, sense of humor, wild stories, and the laughter he brought to every gathering. May his memory bring smiles and laughter to all those who were blessed to know him. Visitation will be Thursday, November 6 from 4-8PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Burial will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton on Friday, November 7 at 11:30 am.
